Your Life, How To Worship God In It.

First off I'd like to begin by thanking all the people who have been praying for my church's worship leader and his wife and newborn son. Their son is currently doing perfectly fine. Now on to the post.

Alright, your life. To many people that means many different things. To some, it means something precious. To others, it is something they feel has no purpose and want ended. To God, it is a precious gift He gave to us that we should use to benefit Him and others completely over ourselves. In our lives God wants us to treat others with kindness, tell them of Him and His Glory and how He can save them. At the same time He wants us to worship Him fully and willingly. We can do this by thinking throughout our day when we do things, how we can do them in a way that glorifies Him. At school, how can I use what I learned to teach others of God, or look at Him and His creation in a more detailed way. At work, with your paycheck, tithing it to your church, using it to by food for someone homeless, taking care of your family. Spending time with friends and family, if they don't know God, introduce them, if they don't know something explain it, start talking about God when you have the chance. Their are so many ways to worship God. But God wants us to worship Him from the time we wake, to when we sleep. Now, I know this seems impossible, He knows that, so that's why He gave his only Son for us so that we may be forgiven. In Psalm 139 it says:

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord.

You hem me in-behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from you presence? If I go up to the Heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.

If only you would slay the wicked, O God! Away form me, you bloodthirsty men! They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name. Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord, and abhor those who rise up against you? I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Now, think about that for a minute. David spoke of God in that passage. David explained that God knew us before anyone else did, before anything! That God knows everything we say before we say it! That He will find us in the dark because it is light to Him and He can see! There is no place ANYWHERE that we can hide from God! That He knows all of us better than anyone else, or even ourselves.
Now realize that when David was saying and writing this, he wasn't sitting hunched over talking in a monotone; David was screaming this out! He was worshiping God and His glory with all he had! We need to do the same. I mean the proof is right there in the passage. What God is and what He's done for us! That is reason enough to worship God with all we have.
Now before I continue, if you are wondering why David said that he hated the wicked and considered them his enemies. He was talking mainly about their evil deeds, and wants protection from their evils. In Psalm 140 it speaks of this.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking, "How can this idiot be telling us to worship God when I'm going through horrible crap right now, and have no reason to want to?!?!" Well, that's just it, you DO have a reason. It's that you have Joy. In James1:2-4, it says:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

This means that when you go through a hard time you should persevere and have patience with the joy that you have from KNOWING that God has a place for you when all is done. James5:10-11 says:

Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

See that! Our joy comes from knowing that God will take care of us in the end! That joy brings us the perseverance which gives us patience to get through our ordeal and gives us reason to worship him while going through it! That is our reason to worship Him throughout not only our day, but our WHOLE LIFE!!!
Again I realize how impossible this sound
s when it comes to doing it. So did God. That is why He sent His only Son to die for our sins.

This is how we can worship God with what we do, and if we're going through a hard time. It's how I did when my Grandfather, who was my second male role model with my dad, died. Or when my dad had a heart attack and I didn't know if he was alright or not. And this is how I get through the rest of the drama and ordeals with my family and my friends. So I can honestly say that it is true, and it does help.
Now, I must say that the inspiration for this came from my youth pastor who he himself is going through a hard time. His wife is pregnant with twins and something is going wrong with them. So I hope that this helps him with getting through it. I also want to take now to ask my readers to pray for him and his wife and their twins. Thank You.
I hope that this helps all of you to worship God in any way you can and no matter what you're going through.

Please Pray.

Hey readers, I would really appreciate it if you would pray for my church's worship leader. He and his wife just had their baby. It's a little boy. But, the little guy has a lung infection which could go either way. I know many of you don't know him and his family, but at my church last night their was a visitor who didn't even know the family, but he prayed louder than anyone else in the room. He reminded me that being a Christian means caring and praying for others whether you know them or not. So I ask as a fellow Christian who cares for others, please pray for that family. It would mean a lot to them, and to me. Thank you.

Also, if anyone who reads this wants to, please leave a comment if your going through a hard time, and ask me to pray for you. You don't have to tell me what's wrong, and you can click anonymous. But I will pray for you.

Thank you for reading.

The World of Addictions.

Addiction. That one word holds more meaning and more pain to some people than others can even imagine. I myself included. I will not say which one however. But I will say that there are many addictions out there. Smoking, drinking, drugs, gambling, porn, video games, sex, the list keeps going. I'm going to take this post and tell you some things that you might not even realize about addictions, unless you've had one.

The first thing I have to say about addictions is that people don't realize they're diseases. Here's why. You probably know that when a person gets a disease, chickenpox, a cold, the flu, whatever it is, once they get better the disease does not leave the body. It just lies dormant in the body waiting for a trigger. Well addictions are the same thing because even if you beat the addiction, it's still there waiting for you to take that drink, smoke that cigarette, or type in those words whatever it is. And the thing about it is that to start the addiction all over again is about as easy as catching a cold. You pay four to five bucks for a pack of cigarettes or a beer, or just typing in words on the internet. Addictions are diseases, and the germs are all around us. So the first thing I have to say is that people who don't understand this need to back off on people who are trying to stay away from those things. It's hard enough as it is!!! Some people smoke in public, others drink beer in front of healing alcoholics, some people look at magazines in front of others who are trying to stop looking at porn or girls will where immoral "outfits." It goes on. So please give some of us a break.

The second thing I have to say is that addictions ARE NOT FUN!!!!! Those who say they are have not seen the after effects it has. I personally can say that it makes life harder and LESS enjoyable. For you, and the people around you. Don't get in to them. Any of them. If your friends are trying to convince you to try, say "NO!!!" In fact try to stop your friends. If they don't listen and don't care about your input, then they're not your friends. If this is harder than it seems to you, then your right. This is not an easy feat. Because it keeps coming back to ask you to try. So what can you do? Read your Bible, pray, if your not a Christian, talk to your parents or someone you can trust and whom you know can help you. It is hard but know that God can help you with staying away from addictions.

The third thing is is how to quit an addiction. What helped me was Praying to God for guidance and help, reading the Bible, talking to my parents, friends, and my youth pastor. Just confessing it is enough help to start quiting. Also find alternatives. Chewing gum, eating mints, and drinking water are good alternatives to smoking and drinking. And there's a lot of other things you can do as well. Plus many addictions need time set aside. So fill that time with something else. Exercise, play with friends, spend time with God, find someone to talk to, find someone to help, you can even go out and make a difference to others. Find something. It makes it easier to quit while your enjoying yourself and maybe helping others.

Addictions are things to watch out for. Because if you get sucked in, it takes a lot of work to get out. And even when you do, it's still hard. So if you have a friend who is quiting or has quit an addiction, help them out. If you are quiting or have quit I say to you that it is hard, but it is well worth it. Because even though life is still hard, it's a lot easier than it is when your still under the control of your addiction. And to those who still have their addiction I say: Try, and don't stop trying until you've quit and have stomped your addiction into the ground with satin. IT IS WORTH IT!!!!! This world is full of addictions, but it's up to YOU to stay away from them.
