The Past 5 Months, and Now

I've been away for five months for selfish reasons that I regret. I let my faith in God fade to almost nothing all because I hit a rough patch in my life. To my readers I apologize. At first I was ill, to a piont where I was frequently going to the hospital for tests and different medications. It was then that I began giving up. But, a friend of my sister made bad decisions that hurt my sister, and I let my anger and frustration use this as a "scapegoat." It was then that I lost sight of God and spent my time doing meaningless things trying to separate myself from this world, if only for moment. In other words, I was running away from my problems instead of asking God for help in the begining like I should have.

I had a feeling of guilt and pain that I could not rid myself of, even with my attempts at distractions. 5 days ago I felt an overwhelming feeling and fell to the floor with my face down and begged for forgiveness. I picked up my private Bible in my room for the first time in months and read the passages I felt I heard from somewhere that I do not remember, and in them were everything I had done and felt for the past 5 months laid out in front of me!
And at the very end of the last passage I read it said, "You are forgiven."

In the worst of times, God will find you! When you are broken, He will fix you! When you are on the ground and can no longer go on, He will carry you! When you are guilty of all, He Will Forgive You! That is what He tells us! That is what He has told me after these past 5 months! And it is what I share with you now, in hopes that if you are in the situation I have said, that you may know that God is right behind you with His arms wide open waiting for you to come back and say "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, let me come back Lord, Please take me back!" And then He will pick you off the ground and embrace you.

Luke 15:11-24 says:

Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divide his property between them.
"Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed his pigs. He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' So he got up and went to his father.
"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son'
"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring a fattened calf and kill it. Lets have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate."

We are the son that took what we wanted, and squandered it on what did not matter; and God is the father who despite our sins we committed , and filth we are covered in, embraced us the moment we return. Amen.

Thank You For Reading.

Your Life, The Importance of the Bible

First off I'm sorry for taking so long to make this post. It has taken a lot of reference, and a couple different books. Now here is the post.

The Bible is something every Christian should read at every possible moment and want more than water itself. And yet we choose do so many other things. And when we are questioned about it we fall short. We lose sight of God, and eventually fall into sin. This is what happens to more than half of the Christian youth in America. This must stop! The solution to the problem is the simple act of reading the Bible and knowing what it truly is. And it is this.

The Bible is a book that is indestructible to man and time until the end of time. In Isaiah 40:6-8 it says

A voice says, "Cry out."
And I said, "What shall I cry out?"
"All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass whithers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are the grass. The grass whithers and the flowers fall, but the Word of the Lord stands forever."

Man and their accomplishments will fall before the Word of God is destroyed. As will time. A look back in history shows this.
In A.D. 303 The Roman Emperor Diocletian decreed that every Bible be destroyed. Feeling He succeeded he raised a column with the Latin inscription "Extincto nomene Christianorum" (the name of Christian is extinguished). In A.D. 312 Constantine succeeded him, and replaced this pagan symbol with a cross. And 1440 years later:
A French atheist named Voltaire boasted "100 years from my day there will not be a Bible in the earth except one that is looked upon by an antiquarian curiosity seeker." Twenty years after his death the Geneva Bible Society purchased his house for printing the Bible. It later became the British headquarters for the British and Foreign Bible Society for storing and distributing the Bible throughout all of Europe.

You see, many men have tried to destroy the Bible all throughout time, and they have all failed. And they will always fail until Christ comes down from Heaven and even then they will not succeed.

The Bible is a book that was spoken by God through the hands of man, and can not in any way be contradicted by anything. In 2Peter1:20-21 it says

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

You see man wrote the Bible on paper, but God is the author and inspiration. How are we sure of this. Look at it logically by taking a verse. James 1:2 says

Consider it pure joy my brothers, when facing trials of many kinds.

It means you should be joyful during times of hardship in knowing that you have an eternity of paradise when all is over.
How could a man think of having joy in their suffering. Let alone writing it in the Bible. Now how could a man write this one verse let alone write a book in the Bible while not contradicting anything else already within the Bible?
To this someone might say someone could just study the Bible and write out a book in the Bible that doesn't contradict anything already written.
But the studying alone would take years to do, and even still you'd need the Bible to look back to. But with the writing as well, it would take many years maybe even a lifetime to write one book in the Bible. and yet Paul, who wasn't a Christian for the first years of his life, wrote 14. many of which were letters in a prison where he didn't have a Bible to read and compare to. He wrote until he was old without losing any value to his writings.

How could a man do this without the help of God? It's impossible! For man is a hypocrite! We always contradict ourselves in many fields. So man could not write the Bible for nothing in the Bible can contradict anything else in the Bible. In Deuteronomy18:21-22 it says

You may say to yourself "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?" If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.

I have spoken in a previous post the God cannot contradict Himself, therefore everything He speaks comes to pass. So if man contradicts himself, but the Lord does not, and the Bible does not contradict itself, who does it sound like wrote the Bible?

The Bible is a book that is to be followed, not tampered with. In Revelations 22:18-19 it says

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share of the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Meaning if anyone tampers with the Bible in any way, they will suffer eternal damnation from God. Some have done this despite the warning. The Book of Mormon and the Koran are examples of this. There is warning against these false teachings in 2Peter 2:1-3 it says

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their shameful ways and bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and destruction has not been sleeping.

These teachers will do all they can to get you to convert to their teachings. So you must read the Bible and learn their tricks in detail and learn to avoid them and stay true to God. In Hebrews 2:1-4 it says

We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. For if the message spoken by angel was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

If you do not read and study the Bible and ignore the Salvation, you will not escape the hand of the Lord. But not only this, you will be untaught and could easily be lured into converting to a false teaching. Where you will pay the ultimate price of losing your eternal life.
So instead, read and study the Bible, so that you may be filled with wisdom, strength, and knowledge to use against the false teachers.

But the Bible is not only the things I have mentioned here. These were only fractions of the whole. To understand the entire Bible you must read it with a desire greater than the desire of life sustaining water.

How To Read The Bible-F. B. Meyer
Read the Bible, not as a newspaper, but as a home letter.
If a cluster of Heavenly fruit hangs within reach, pluck it.
If a promise lies upon the page of a blank check, cash it.
If a prayer is recorded, appropriate it, and launch it as a feathered arrow from the bow of your desire.
If an example of holiness gleams before you, ask God to do as much for you.
If the truth is revealed in all its intrinsic splendor, entreat that its brilliance may ever radiate the hemisphere of your life.

The Bible is the Word of God made for man to read to make himself a better Christian and as a guidebook to go through life while understanding God more.
Long Live Jesus Christ

Your Life, Why Keep Faithful In It

Faith. This word describes Christianity so much. Hebrews 11:1 gives its description.

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

That's what Christianity is. But it's not that simple. Keeping that faith in this world is hard. Many people lose their faith in Christianity around college. Sometimes by finding reasoning and human science more "real" than faith. Though it mostly occurs when someone gives in to their sinful nature and joins other people who look like their having fun. This brings me to a verse. Psalm37:1-2 says,

Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like grass they will soon whither, like green plants they will soon die away.

This is what will happen to those who give in to their sinful nature. God will make them fall, and then fade away. So you guys in college or getting there, don't be envious. Or give up your faith in God's promise for sin. If you do envy them, it won't be long before you're doing the same things and be just like them by committing to the same sins. And just like them, God will make you fall, and fade away.
God's promise is not worth giving up for that. Hebrews 6:16-20 tells us what God's promise is.

Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

God's oath is by Himself who cannot change, and cannot lie. And if His oath in on Himself (who is eternal) than nothing will ever break this promise, and the promise will never fade or die over time. Proof of this is written in Galatians3:16-18.

The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ. What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise. For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

430 years passed, and a the law of God did not contradict the promise God made to Abraham alone. The law it speaks of is the law God gave to Moses. The law of the Old Testament. God made sure that this law did not contradict the promise He made to Abraham.
In the last part of the passage Hebrews6:16-20 it said Jesus was a high priest. This in itself is a huge reason to praise Christ and have faith in Him. Why? In Hebrews5:1-6 it says.

Every high priest is selected from among men and is appointed to represent them in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people. No one takes this honor upon himself; he must be called by God, just as Aaron was. So Christ also did not take upon himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father." And he says in another place, "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."

This means that Jesus did not choose to go and die a painful death on the cross. He could've ignored the words of His Father, and ran away; but He didn't. He stayed and followed His Father's request. And unlike other priests, Jesus did not sin, and therefore did not need to offer any sacrifices. Because He, a pure human, CHOSE to die on the cross and pay for all of our sins. And in doing so, promise that whoever sins, and no matter what the sin, save us from it if we just have faith that He'll save us.

In total, the reason we should keep faith in God and in Christ is because God promised us that He'd save us; with an oath on Himself, that will never fade, die, be broken, or disappear no matter what is done or said towards it. This is the same kind of promise God made to Abraham. And if you don't have faith in God and His promise, and turn to sin; you'll end up as a slave to your sinful nature trying to satisfy it in any way, and in the end falling and whithering away into nothing.
God's promise cannot be broken. The Law of the Old Testament does not contradict it, nor does the promise contradict the law. Instead, the law just shows us that we sin, and this is where God's promise comes in. His promise, that if we have faith in Christ we'll be saved, saves us from the death the law has shown us.
Knowing this, I think I'll keep my Faith in Christ.

Your Life, How To Act Towards Sinners.

Hey everyone, sorry about taking so long to get a new post to you. Before I begin I'd just like to say that God worked in my life this week. On Wednesday I got up in front of my High school ministries, which is around 40 people, and gave my testimony of how God helped me during the hard times in my life. But here's the part where I needed God, I have a huge fear of public speaking. But I did perfectly fine. Any ways, I'll get started on the post.

My post is about how the Bible says to act towards sinners. I read Proverbs 24 last night and it was the perfect passage. I'll break it down in parts and explain it. In Proverbs 24:1-10 it says:

Do not envy wicked men, do not desire their company; for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble.
By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.
A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength; for waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers.
Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the assembly at the gate he has nothing to say.
He who plots evil will be known as a schemer. The schemes of folly are sin, and men detest a mocker.
If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength!

"Do not envy." It means do not wish to be like them, but instead have wisdom. The two metaphors about wisdom and knowledge mean that knowledge is the power and wisdom is what gives you the ability to control that power and use it for the right reasons in the right way that God wants you to. The part about waging war and stand at the gate blank; the war is life and your enemies to stand against and win are the trials you face. If you have wisdom you will be able to beat them. If you don't you'll be standing at the gate and fail in defeat. This is what it meant when it says faltering in times of trouble. This is ONE of the reasons why you should not envy the wicked. For they fail at wisdom and that will lead to failure.
Next in Proverbs 24:11-12 it says:

Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering towards slaughter. If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?

This first part means to go to those who you see committing sin and try to help them. Because when you see someone you know is committing sin and you can try to help them by telling them of God, and you don't, God will know. He will know and repay you for what you have done. This is what verse 12 meant at the end.
Next in Proverbs 24:15-16 it says:

Do not lie in wait like an outlaw against a righteous man's house, do not raid his dwelling place; for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

This is another reason why you should not be envious of wicked men, but instead wish to be full of wisdom and be righteous. Because even though the wicked will come and bring the righteous down, God will come help pick them up again and again. In Proverbs 24:17-18 says:

Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice, or the Lord will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from him.

This of course means that even though you knew and tried to help them from doing what they did, you should not gloat or be happy about it. If you do, God will frown upon this and stop the punishment of the wicked, and if deserving aim it at you. Next is Proverbs 24:19-20 and James 4:4-5. They say:

Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of the wicked, for the evil man has no future hope, and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.

You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely.

Now I bet your wondering why these verses are together. Well the verses from Proverbs give another reason to not envy wicked men, because they have no future, they have NOTHING because they do not know God.
The verses from James have a few things that need explaining. First is that back in the times when the Bible was written, "friendship" meant having great trust in what you were friends with. So when you befriend the world it means you are putting trust in the world, instead of God. This brings us to why God is envious. Well when you trust the world you're putting your faith and trust in the world. But, instead your supposed to be putting trust is God. That's why God is envious. He's envious of the world because we are putting our trust in the world instead of putting it in God like God wants us to. You see that.
But how do these go together? Well if you envy wicked people, who you just found out have no future, that means you want to be like them and even be their friend. Well this means you want to trust in someone who will fail and leave you empty and down. That's why God wants you to trust in him, because he won't leave you!!!!!
Now the last verses, Proverbs 24:21-22 says:

Fear the Lord and the King, my son, and do not join with the rebellious, for those two will send sudden destruction upon them, and who knows what calamities they can bring?

The Lord of course is God, and the King is Christ. They referred to him as the "King" because Jesus wasn't there yet. They are the two who will send sudden judgment on the wicked. This is the last reason not to envy wicked men. Because God and Christ Jesus will pass judgment and then punish them.

Okay, that is a lot of information. So I'll bring all together in something that all teenagers like me face. The in-crowd and kids that are popular for the wrong reasons. But remember that this is an example and that this can be used by anyone for anyone else.

First ask God for wisdom and become a wise person who follows God, no matter WHAT happens to you. That first must be done before you can do this.
Instead of being envious of the popular group, whom you know are only popular because they are doing wrong and who are going towards death, go and try to tell them of God and save them. Now I know what you're thinking is going to happen. Your going to get humiliated and hurt doing this, and end up being thrown down. Well remember, that even though you will fall, God will pick you up so that you can try again.
If they don't listen and their actions catch up with them and they fall, remember not to gloat and say, "I tried to tell you." Instead, go to them and tell them of God and help pick them up.
If you do this, you will end up not only helping them like God wishes, but you will probably also make a new friend whom you can continue sharing God with.

This was half of a page in the Bible. And in it was so much!!!!! So I urge you guys to read as well. It will make your life better and teach you so many things. It is also how you will gain the wisdom God wants you to have. I'm 15 and talking like this about God. So I urge you to read and learn with good intent and an open mind. And also remember,
Treat Others As You Would Want To Be Treated.

Your Life, How To Worship God In It.

First off I'd like to begin by thanking all the people who have been praying for my church's worship leader and his wife and newborn son. Their son is currently doing perfectly fine. Now on to the post.

Alright, your life. To many people that means many different things. To some, it means something precious. To others, it is something they feel has no purpose and want ended. To God, it is a precious gift He gave to us that we should use to benefit Him and others completely over ourselves. In our lives God wants us to treat others with kindness, tell them of Him and His Glory and how He can save them. At the same time He wants us to worship Him fully and willingly. We can do this by thinking throughout our day when we do things, how we can do them in a way that glorifies Him. At school, how can I use what I learned to teach others of God, or look at Him and His creation in a more detailed way. At work, with your paycheck, tithing it to your church, using it to by food for someone homeless, taking care of your family. Spending time with friends and family, if they don't know God, introduce them, if they don't know something explain it, start talking about God when you have the chance. Their are so many ways to worship God. But God wants us to worship Him from the time we wake, to when we sleep. Now, I know this seems impossible, He knows that, so that's why He gave his only Son for us so that we may be forgiven. In Psalm 139 it says:

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord.

You hem me in-behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from you presence? If I go up to the Heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.

If only you would slay the wicked, O God! Away form me, you bloodthirsty men! They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name. Do I not hate those who hate you, O Lord, and abhor those who rise up against you? I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Now, think about that for a minute. David spoke of God in that passage. David explained that God knew us before anyone else did, before anything! That God knows everything we say before we say it! That He will find us in the dark because it is light to Him and He can see! There is no place ANYWHERE that we can hide from God! That He knows all of us better than anyone else, or even ourselves.
Now realize that when David was saying and writing this, he wasn't sitting hunched over talking in a monotone; David was screaming this out! He was worshiping God and His glory with all he had! We need to do the same. I mean the proof is right there in the passage. What God is and what He's done for us! That is reason enough to worship God with all we have.
Now before I continue, if you are wondering why David said that he hated the wicked and considered them his enemies. He was talking mainly about their evil deeds, and wants protection from their evils. In Psalm 140 it speaks of this.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking, "How can this idiot be telling us to worship God when I'm going through horrible crap right now, and have no reason to want to?!?!" Well, that's just it, you DO have a reason. It's that you have Joy. In James1:2-4, it says:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

This means that when you go through a hard time you should persevere and have patience with the joy that you have from KNOWING that God has a place for you when all is done. James5:10-11 says:

Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

See that! Our joy comes from knowing that God will take care of us in the end! That joy brings us the perseverance which gives us patience to get through our ordeal and gives us reason to worship him while going through it! That is our reason to worship Him throughout not only our day, but our WHOLE LIFE!!!
Again I realize how impossible this sound
s when it comes to doing it. So did God. That is why He sent His only Son to die for our sins.

This is how we can worship God with what we do, and if we're going through a hard time. It's how I did when my Grandfather, who was my second male role model with my dad, died. Or when my dad had a heart attack and I didn't know if he was alright or not. And this is how I get through the rest of the drama and ordeals with my family and my friends. So I can honestly say that it is true, and it does help.
Now, I must say that the inspiration for this came from my youth pastor who he himself is going through a hard time. His wife is pregnant with twins and something is going wrong with them. So I hope that this helps him with getting through it. I also want to take now to ask my readers to pray for him and his wife and their twins. Thank You.
I hope that this helps all of you to worship God in any way you can and no matter what you're going through.

Please Pray.

Hey readers, I would really appreciate it if you would pray for my church's worship leader. He and his wife just had their baby. It's a little boy. But, the little guy has a lung infection which could go either way. I know many of you don't know him and his family, but at my church last night their was a visitor who didn't even know the family, but he prayed louder than anyone else in the room. He reminded me that being a Christian means caring and praying for others whether you know them or not. So I ask as a fellow Christian who cares for others, please pray for that family. It would mean a lot to them, and to me. Thank you.

Also, if anyone who reads this wants to, please leave a comment if your going through a hard time, and ask me to pray for you. You don't have to tell me what's wrong, and you can click anonymous. But I will pray for you.

Thank you for reading.

The World of Addictions.

Addiction. That one word holds more meaning and more pain to some people than others can even imagine. I myself included. I will not say which one however. But I will say that there are many addictions out there. Smoking, drinking, drugs, gambling, porn, video games, sex, the list keeps going. I'm going to take this post and tell you some things that you might not even realize about addictions, unless you've had one.

The first thing I have to say about addictions is that people don't realize they're diseases. Here's why. You probably know that when a person gets a disease, chickenpox, a cold, the flu, whatever it is, once they get better the disease does not leave the body. It just lies dormant in the body waiting for a trigger. Well addictions are the same thing because even if you beat the addiction, it's still there waiting for you to take that drink, smoke that cigarette, or type in those words whatever it is. And the thing about it is that to start the addiction all over again is about as easy as catching a cold. You pay four to five bucks for a pack of cigarettes or a beer, or just typing in words on the internet. Addictions are diseases, and the germs are all around us. So the first thing I have to say is that people who don't understand this need to back off on people who are trying to stay away from those things. It's hard enough as it is!!! Some people smoke in public, others drink beer in front of healing alcoholics, some people look at magazines in front of others who are trying to stop looking at porn or girls will where immoral "outfits." It goes on. So please give some of us a break.

The second thing I have to say is that addictions ARE NOT FUN!!!!! Those who say they are have not seen the after effects it has. I personally can say that it makes life harder and LESS enjoyable. For you, and the people around you. Don't get in to them. Any of them. If your friends are trying to convince you to try, say "NO!!!" In fact try to stop your friends. If they don't listen and don't care about your input, then they're not your friends. If this is harder than it seems to you, then your right. This is not an easy feat. Because it keeps coming back to ask you to try. So what can you do? Read your Bible, pray, if your not a Christian, talk to your parents or someone you can trust and whom you know can help you. It is hard but know that God can help you with staying away from addictions.

The third thing is is how to quit an addiction. What helped me was Praying to God for guidance and help, reading the Bible, talking to my parents, friends, and my youth pastor. Just confessing it is enough help to start quiting. Also find alternatives. Chewing gum, eating mints, and drinking water are good alternatives to smoking and drinking. And there's a lot of other things you can do as well. Plus many addictions need time set aside. So fill that time with something else. Exercise, play with friends, spend time with God, find someone to talk to, find someone to help, you can even go out and make a difference to others. Find something. It makes it easier to quit while your enjoying yourself and maybe helping others.

Addictions are things to watch out for. Because if you get sucked in, it takes a lot of work to get out. And even when you do, it's still hard. So if you have a friend who is quiting or has quit an addiction, help them out. If you are quiting or have quit I say to you that it is hard, but it is well worth it. Because even though life is still hard, it's a lot easier than it is when your still under the control of your addiction. And to those who still have their addiction I say: Try, and don't stop trying until you've quit and have stomped your addiction into the ground with satin. IT IS WORTH IT!!!!! This world is full of addictions, but it's up to YOU to stay away from them.

Why do you dress like that?

Now before I begin, I just wanted to that the reason why I haven't posted anything for a while is because I've had the flu for the past 2 weeks. But I'm feeling better now.

Ok, as you probably saw in the title of the post, I'm talking about how teenagers, and people who think they're teenagers, dress in immoral ways. I have seen it everywhere. The mall (of course), the store, the beach, schools (my Christian school included), even my own church. Mainly in the summer. Now before anyone has cow I'm talking about both girls and guys. God wants us all to dress modestly in a way that does not cause immoral thoughts. In fact, 1Timothy 2:8-10 says:

I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing. I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

Ok ok, I know, He said women should dress appropriately, but it's kinda hard to lift your hands up in holy prayer if your pants fall down at the same time! Now guys and girls think nothing of dressing in the way I'm talking about. You know it. But you guys and girls should think about it. For not only Christians, but all teens that want to resist temptation it gets really hard when (for girls) a guy dresses in baggy pants that show their underwear, or (for guys) a girl dresses in a mini skirt and a shirt showing her mid drift(for illiterate people, it means their stomach). It produces "thoughts" when a girl or a guy sees those things. Dressing in a way that causes those "thoughts" is clearly not one of the good deeds God was speaking of.

Ok, now I understand that some people want to put those "thoughts" in the other person's head. But did you ever think that they might not want those "thoughts" in their head? My judge from how people dress, is a big fat NO!!! I for one am one of those people, and I know a lot of others who are too.
For people who do dress to impress others, and to impress themselves, I have to say that those are pointless reasons to dress that way. Why? Because there is already a God who will always love you. No matter how you dress or what you do. If you do something shameful and wrong I promise, and so does He, that He will forgive you for whatever you did. If you have a different religion, or no religion at all, I want to say that you probably have friends, parents, siblings, a husband, a wife, children, family of some sort, someone that cares about you in this world and doesn't care about how you look or care about what you do and will always care about you. So then, I leave you with this question:

Why do you dress like that if someone
already loves you and doesn't care?

My life.

Hey everyone. I've been talking about advice and treating others right, but now I'm going to talk a little about my self. I really am the age I say I am. Also I am very happy this week because because like every other person in the world who's below 30 is on Spring Break!!!!! One of the best times of the year. For me it's going to end with a trip to the swap meet to find a few new swords to ad to my growing collection. But let me warn you that just because it's fun to swing them around, doesn't mean it's safe. I learned that lesson the hard way, and are reminded of it when ever I look in the mirror at the scar on my face. Don't ask what happened.
But yeah, I digress. What I really want to talk about is something I learned a little while ago. I was the kind of person who would stress and worry about a lot of crap. And I mean this was real "not suppose to worry about" crap. I would worry about school and getting the best grades possible, about how much money my family had, and mainly on my snake not having had anything to eat for 5 months. But then one day I was playing video games and realized I didn't have a care in the world except to blow the head off the other guy in Call of Duty 4. It was at that moment I told myself, "I need to feel this way more often." (And no not blow off the other guy's head more often)
So, I did. I started to relax more often and give up more to my higher power. For me it's God. When I did this I started to feel better than I had just about my entire life. Soon I started relaxing more often to just listen to music, play video games, reading my Bible, or hangin with my friends. Eventually things started to take care of themselves. Now my snake is eating again and I'm doing better in school than I was before. But, don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean you should just laze about and let everything take care of itself. Life doesn't work that way. I do still need to do the work, only now I just don't stress about it.

Stress is something that can make you sick if you do it to much. I learned that the hard way as well because of constant head aches I had and kept from my family. My point is that you shouldn't stress so much about life. otherwise you can't enjoy it. So, find a way to relax and do it, A LOT!!!!! It will help.

Do you have a goal?

Goals are some of the most important things in this world. They could be to lose weight, work harder and better at a job, do better in school, the list goes on. But all the goals I hear usually have one thing in common. They all, in the end, only help the people who make them. Whether it's to earn more money, look better, get ________ (replace space with desired item), there's a lot. What I don't hear, and want to hear; are goals for others.
Right now I want you to think. Think about all the goals that you have ever made for others. If you reach 10 you can shut me up in a comment. But I can honestly say that I, disappointedly, did not reach 10.
I don't know about everyone else, but I feel really down about those numbers. So, that's why I decided to put it in my blog. To spread it to others so we can try and change it.

So I leave you with this question. "What is your next goal going to be?" I know what mine will be.

What do you trust in?

To my fellow Christians I want you to remember that we are not to trust ANYTHING in this world.

In James 4:4-5 the Bible says, "You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? That is why the Scripture says: 'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

If you do not understand this, I'll break it down. Friend ship back then meant more than it does now. It meant having great trust in. Meaning being a friend of the world means that you trust it. But trusting in the world means trusting in not only things, but the people in it as well. Friends, family, if you have them children, everyone and everything. Because they can, and will leave you. The world will leave you. Things will rot and rust, people will wither and die, the world is full of idols that will take away your focus and then leave and hurt you.
When the Spirit envies it envies the world. Why? Because we are putting our trust into the world and God want to take the world's place. He wants us to trust in him.

Do you guys see what God's asking? He wants us to trust Him more than our friends, our parents, our siblings, our own children, all the people in the world. (But don't get me wrong, we should still care for each other and help each other as well. I'll explain why in a minute.) I understand how that could be hard. So does God. He understands this. That's why he sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, our mistakes.

Now everyone even though we can't trust in the world or the people in it, we should still be kind to it, and to others. God might not want us to trust it, but He does want us to treat it as ourselves. Just be careful about how much, and how you do it.

Why can't we be like that?

I don't know how many of you live in California or even in America, but this story deals with everyone.

In Los Angeles California a 70 year old woman, who is also a retired teacher, felt that she had to do something. There are many homeless in LA, but also in the world. Many are single parents with children who have no education. She saw this, and decided to change it. So, she opened a tutoring house that, with the help of kind volunteers, teaches the children who cannot go to school. Since then, they have branched out and now have 500 volunteers teaching children.

Think about that. A frail 70 year old woman did an act of kindness and made a HUGE difference in hundreds of children's lives. And yet, those of us who are young, barely act the same way, or do the same acts of kindness. In fact, the word "Kindness" has obtained a whole different meaning. True kindness in that act of doing something good for someone else without expecting anything in return, the act of doing it without having to do it.
"If a frail 70 year old woman can do an act of kindness, why can't the rest of us?"
That is my question to all of you, and to myself. I for one, am going to start to act out of kindness.
What about you?
Thanx for reading my blog.
See ya.

If you have questions???

If you guys have questions that you want answered, either about Christianity, other religions, or life in general say something. I'll be glad to answer it in the best way that I can.
